eBay had lost its cred in the sneakerhead game. Our team was tasked with bringing it back. We knew nothing would make a sneakerhead happier than a compliment. Why not use a few choice words to flatter them and get them selling—instantly? An interactive billboard with a built-in camera would praise passersby on what they were wearing and end with a call to sell on eBay. Users could instantly post their kicks with a pre-filled listing. We’d launch the experience at popular sneakerhead locations before expanding to digital OOH near public transportation, sports arenas and concert venues.
